Fourth of July celebrations are not complete without sparkles in the sky, and there’s no company to ‘ooo’ and ‘ahh’ with better than Hoosiers. Here’s our roundup of where you can catch fireworks in and around Indy in the coming week.

The Fourth of July falls on a Friday this year, so there are firework shows leading to the weekend and beyond with a little bit of everything for everyone.

Indianapolis Fireworks

Broad Ripple Fireworks (July 3)

On July 3 at 10 p.m., in its 51st year, the Meredith Smith Memorial Fireworks Show will light up the White River along Broad Ripple on the eve of the Fourth of July.

All American Day in the Park, Beech Grove (July 3)

Find food, music, and fireworks at the Sarah T. Bolton Park in Beech Grove starting at 5:30 p.m. on July 3. There will be a kids zone, wrestling, a DJ, and tons of food vendors. The fireworks show is set to begin at 10 p.m.

Downtown Indy’s Fourth Fest (July 4)

A high-energy street festival, live performances, and a 20-minute fireworks show, Fourth Fest’s free celebration is expected to draw nearly 25,000 people to the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

Celebrations will kick off at 6 p.m. on July 4 on St. Clair Street and American Legion Mall where food trucks galore, ice cream and beverage stands, and a Kids Zone will line the area. At 10 p.m., the celebration shifts skyward; those in the area can catch the fireworks display from the Indiana War Memorial Grounds. For those watching from home, FOX59 will broadcast the fireworks with multi-angle coverage.

Indianapolis Indians Game & Fireworks (July 4)

The best of both worlds: baseball and booms. Snag tickets for the Indians’ Fourth of July annual game, a tradition since 1996, when the home team takes on the Bats at the corner of West and Maryland. The game starts at 6:35 p.m. on July 4 and is followed by a firework show. Can’t make the game? There will be fireworks spotting from the White River State Park.

Lawrence 4th Fest (July 4)

Lawrence Fourth Fest offers a full day of activities on July 4, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Whether you’re in it for the parade, kickball games, concerts, car shows, or the firework display, this event has something for everyone. Additionally, a skateboarding contest featuring pro skater Casper Jones will occur at 4 p.m., and local performers will take the stage from 6 to 9:30 p.m. to keep the excitement going until the 10 p.m. pyrotechnics display.

Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Social (July 4)

Step into history this Fourth of July at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4, guests can enjoy free festivities at the former home of America’s Hoosier President. First-floor tours will be available along with jazz music by the White River Jazz Band. Balloon artists will be on-site as well as ice cream from LiftOff Creamery and Market Square popcorn. Registration is required at https://bhpsite.org/visit/events/.

Fireworks Around Indy: Hamilton and Boone Counties

Star-Spangled Symphony at Conner Prairie (July 3-5)

The Fourth of July weekend gets a bold and brassy soundtrack by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at 8 p.m. for three nights (July 3-5) in Conner Prairie. Complete with patriotic classics, guest artists, and a firework finale, this annual tradition offers a unique way to celebrate the holiday. The July 5 show will feature special pre-show festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a concert by Indiana’s only military band, the 38th Infantry Division Band. Children lawn tickets are $12.96 and adult tickets are $54. Tickets can be purchased at https://tickets.indianapolissymphony.org/14435.

CarmelFest (July 3-4)

This two-day festival in Carmel keeps the energy flowing into the night of July 4. Festivities will begin on July 3 at 1 p.m. with various band performances from The Beatless, Cease & Resist, and many more. The event also features a beer garden and market. July 4 will kick off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. that will feature marching bands, baton twirlers, fun floats, and much more. The parade sets up another day of activities and ends in a firework show that will commence at 9:45 p.m.

Westfield Rocks the 4th (July 4)

Grand Parks Event Center will host a day filled with fun for all ages on July 4, from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be food, local retailers, kids’ activities, live entertainment, and a 10 p.m. fireworks show to top it all off.

Fishers Fireworks Shows (July 4)

Fishers Parks will have three fireworks shows from land, lawn, and lake on July 4, starting at 10 p.m.

  • Nickel Park District Amp Lawn Fireworks: Will start with food trucks and a free concert from local performer My Yellow Rickshaw at 8 p.m., and fireworks will shoot off from the north of Hamilton East Public Library at 10 p.m.
  • Cyntheanne Park: Will offer an alternative spot to view fireworks away from the downtown crowds.
  • Geist Reservoir: Will feature fireworks on the water from the south end of Fall Creek Bridge for boat or waterfront property views. No viewing will be allowed from Fall Creek Bridge or Geist Marina.

Noblesville’s July 4th Parade & Fireworks Festival (July 4)

A long-standing Central Indiana celebration, the Noblesville Fourth of July parade, festival, and fireworks display is set to deliver a classic Independence Day in Forest Park on July 4, from 4 to 10 p.m. The parade will kick off at 4 p.m. and lead into the festival, which ends with a 10 p.m. fireworks display.

Zionsville Fourth of July (July 4)

Zionsville Lions Park will host fun, food, and fireworks starting at 5 p.m. on July 4 and continuing until 10 p.m. The Lions Raffle offers a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize.

Lights Over Morse Lake, Cicero (July 3-6)

Cicero, Indiana is gearing up for a full weekend of events (July 3-6, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.) like lakefront fireworks, carnival rides, a live music and talent show, face painting and kids’ activities, and hot air balloon rides. There will be pickleball, 3-on-3 basketball, cornhole, and bingo spread across the days. A parade will kick off July 4th at 11 a.m. and fireworks will take place at 10 p.m.

Fireworks Around Indy: Hendricks, Johnson, and Morgan Counties

Avon Night at the Park (July 3)

Avon Town Hall Park will host a free celebration, Night at the Park, on July 3 from 6 to 10 p.m., with food trucks, a petting zoo (with pony rides!), and live music before setting off fireworks at 10 p.m.

Franklin Firecracker Festival (July 3)

The Franklin Amphitheater will feature live music, food vendors, a beer garden, and a fireworks finale. Events kick off at 5:30 p.m. on July 3, where the Franklin Community Band and Blue River Band will perform. The fireworks show is set for 10:10 p.m.

Mooresville Pioneer Park Celebration (July 4)

Head out to the free celebration in Pioneer Park in Mooresville on July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. for live music, local eats, and a fireworks show at dusk.

Brownsburg Extravaganza (July 4)

The July Fourth celebration starts at 10 a.m. on July 4 with the Brownsburg Lions Club Parade featuring more than 65 floats. At 7:30 p.m., enjoy a performance by the Cool City Band at the Town Hall Green. Food trucks and yard games will also be available. End the night with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. from Lincolnwood Park.
